It would seem that you can easily get your videos to the most viewed section by setting your browser to auto-refresh. It makes you wonder if YouTube will work. Why? because not only does the auto refresh thing works, the person benefiting from it uses other peoples work CLEARLY on the video while doing it.

Trent Reznor: “No wonder people steal music.”

People steal music? NO WAY MAN!!! Its called borrowing it until it is useless and then giving it back… lol Who makes up these comments? For a site like Digg, I am surprised that there wasn’t mre comments for this article link. 117 seams tame for a subject like this. The link got over 2600+ diggs, but the comments… why so low? Interesting…

Digg Link Pick Quote:

The NIN frontman blogs: “As the climate grows more and more desperate for record labels, their answer to their mostly self-inflicted wounds seems to be to screw the consumer over even more. A couple of examples that quickly come to mind…” He then details how his own label insists on screwing fans, and how he hopes to counteract that soon.

Major Mistakes Women Make In Bed

Digg made history today… I actually saw women post more than once in the comment area! Na, just kidding ya. This little article brought out the battle of the sexes in the comments. The first 2 comments (or I should say the ‘digg reply’ (more on the Digg Reply later…) basically goes at each other. We haven’t even got to the other 200+ posts!!!

Digg This: 09-f9-11-02-9d-74-e3-5b-d8-41-56-c5-63-56-88-c0

WHAT the HECK just happened on Digg? And what does this code thing mean? People have dugg this item up to almost 12000 votes. Currently its 500 votes away from 12000. 813 comments. The highest comment got 700+ positive comment votes.

Anyway, what is this code and what does it mean? What is it even related to? The link goes to Digg’s official blog but that doesn’t explain what’s going on other than Digg getting a stop order for posting the code up. I’m trying to get the page to load, but it has so many comments that it crashes my browser… and yes I’m on FireFox (I should update it).

I’ll take a look at this later:

Why All The Censorship? HD-DVD Has Digg In Its Pocketbook.

And this:

Diggnation – HD DVD Wins

And this:

Digg users right to freedom of speech, 50,000+ diggs strong!!

More on this later.

’ve made it clear. You’d rather see Digg go down fighting than bow down to a bigger company. We hear you, and effective immediately we won’t delete stories or comments containing the code and will deal with whatever the consequences might be.”

BREAKING: Supreme Court Backs Ban on Partial Birth Abortion Procedure!!!

Well this was the most under reported event due to the VT Massacre. Never the less it didn’t stop Digg and other sites to bring it up. And boy did they talk about what this means. 600+ comments on this item. Considering that there are only 1300+ votes on something that has 600+ comments, you know right away there was a debate going on in the comment section.

Digg link pick quote :

The Supreme Court upheld the nationwide ban on a controversial abortion procedure Wednesday. The 5-4 ruling said the Partial Birth Abortion Ban Act that Congress passed and President Bush signed into law in 2003 does not violate a woman’s constitutional right to an abortion.

Taking air guitar to higher levels – Nintendo Wii Fanboy

Guitar Hero the video game seems to be very poplar on Digg. Makes me want to head to IGN or some other gaming community site and see what is the real deal with the game.

Digg pick link quote:

Forget Guitar Hero — these guys are doing it for themselves. Turning the Wii controls into a guitar, that is, and it’s pretty awesome. Clearly, this guy doesn’t need no instructions to know how to rock.

When Will Al Sharpton & Jesse Jackson Apologize to Duke Lacrosse Players?

Moooooooo drama… 200+ comments. As you can imagine, considering the fact that many diggers went off on Al Sharpton in the Imus case, that they want apologies from Sharpton on the Duke Lacrosse case. But will it happen? If you want to see more about this, just look a few blog post down.

Digg link pick quote:

Now that they’ve gotten the Imus radio show successfully canceled for “racist” comments about black people, it’s time for Al Sharpton and the Rev. Jesse Jackson to apologize to the Duke lacrosse players. They were so quick to call for their arrests since the white players surely had to be guilty of raping a black stripper… BUT THEY WERE WRONG.

Don Imus fired from CBS

Breaking news as of 4:48pm EST. CBS fires Don Imus.

179 COMMENTS SO FAR and 386 diggs. And the comments go wild on this one, Its a must read if you hang out at Digg.

jeeteeare says : nappy-headed hoes rejoice (71 positive comment diggs)

scornforsega  says: No, no.. you can say whatever you want, you just have to have sh*tty music playing behind you. Call a woman a ho on a rap album and win a grammy. Do it on a radio show, and you get sh*tcanned. You NEED the sh*tty music in the background. It’s a necessity.

ht70  says: To blame in order of egregiousness: 1) Opportunists looking to get exposure (Sharpton/Jackson) 2) Spineless sponsors 3) Spineless CBS execs… 20) Stupid radio host trying to be funny

trer says: None of you seem to understand the concept of Freedom of Speech. The First Amendment only protects you from the government. The government cannot infringe on your right to speak. It has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO with an employer firing an employee. If the government had arrested Imus, THAT’S a violation of the first amendment. Advertisers have every right to pull their sponsorship from venues they feel uncomfortable with. And media stations have every right to fire an employee who is hurting the bottom line. That’s not a violation of freedom of speech, that’s just business. The backbone of a media corporation is, guess what, IMAGE. You must protect your image at all times. Imagine if one of your employees was doing something that was causing you to lose money. You’d fire that employee in a second.

Most comments support Don Imus (even though they say he still is a jerk for the most part) and put down Reverend (is he really a reverend?) Al Sharpton.
