Well over 400 comments on the subject of here involvement in the shooting and her turing herself in and being charged with attempted murder.

With rap hitting an all time low in music sales, and many rappers using street cred to boost sales, I think this comment is the best out of the 400+ posted:

Almost a month ago, one of the original creators of WordPress speaks his mind about the press and being part of an, as some would say, “Overnight Success Story”.

Here are some of the best comments:

I think it is possible to be an “overnight success” even if the path leading up to the success moment was years of hard work in the making. Bands immediately come to mind who played the same instruments with the same group of guys for years, trying to perfect their own view of music, and then success hits.

Maroon 5 was previously known as Kara’s Flowers, a band some friends formed in high school (young founders) and played their first gig in 1995. Perhaps the genre of music just wasn’t right, or they needed a new instrument somewhere, and Maroon 5 is somewhat of an overnight success in 2002 with the release of Songs About Jane.

I’m sure Oprah could mention her favorite back scratcher and it would turn into an overnight success.

Good post with insight into your unique life and view on things. Thanks.

Akon Axed by Verizon Over Simulated Rape – TMZ.com

This was a very mind grabbing topic for many on entertainment and gossip blogs for a few weeks now. Now it seems that Verizon has had enough and dropped him. Is this about Don Imus?

You hd to know that what Don Imus said would be mentioned somewhere in the blog post comments.

Yup.

Sandra Rose: Fan Mail: Olivia Moves On

Sandra Rose: Fan Mail: Olivia Moves On

I can’t say I was a fan of hers. She honestly seemed like a add on that many Hip Hop and rap groups seem to do. Get the “first lady” of the group to round out the musical offerings.

This group has a first lady, that group has a “first lady”… for example: Bad Boy had Faith Evans, and DTP (Disturbing The Peace) had Shawnna (I think both left their respective groups). Other Hip Hop (or more specifically Rap) groups or labels have their “first lady” as well and so the fad was started.

With Olivia, she never seemed to fit in to me. I remember one behind the scenes report where she said that she basically has her own tour bus beecause she isn’t into the “puff – puff pass” and smokey rooms. Whaaaa?????

No suprise there are rumors of 50 pushing up on her and trying to harrass. I wasn’t there soooo… but doesn’t it fit his character profile?

Anyway, she has left the building. She says she won’t be filing any charges… how would she really prove her case anyway???… and is starting her own label.

As  popular as this blog site is, there are only 12 comments on this story.

Here are some of the comments on the blog post:

wow that publicist or whatever just very casually said that she was “sexually harassed on occasions” like it was no big deal. Apparently it’s not a big deal to Olivia either, otherwise she’d had him charged, right? WTF…

I remember her from way back when…I forget that song she had, but I liked it. I’m glad she’s getting on about her business. When I first read/heard/saw that she’d signed with GUnit, I kinda shook my head. These labels are so copycat-like lately. You have a primary rap artist, then lesser solo rap artists underneath, and then a chica who sings the hook (or guest raps) on everybody’s album, and if she’s lucky, she’ll get her own record which may/may not sell… (con’t)

SANDRA, I HAVE TO KEEP IT REAL WITH YOU. FIRST, YOU ARE COVERING MONICA A LITTLE TOO MUCH. SHE’S COOL BUT..HOW CAN I PUT IT GENTLY…IT’S NOT WHATS POPPIN RIGHT NOW. I LIKE TO GO IN AND READ COMMENTS ON DIFFERENT GOSSIP WEBSITES, AND I THINK YOU ARE TRYING TO MICRO-MANAGE COMMENTS A LITTLE TOO MUCH. GOSSIP IS ABOUT SAYING WHATEVER YOU WANT TO SAY (IM ONLY POSTING THIS HERE BECAUSE YOU CAN’T POST UNDER THE MONICA COMMENTS). I FELT IT WAS IMPORTANT TO SAY THIS BECAUSE YAHOO RECENTLY NAMED THE TOP 10 GOSSIP WEBSITES (A FEW WERE BLACK OWNED), AND YOURS WAS NOT LISTED. I USED TO BE A BIG FAN OF YOUR WEBSITE, AND I FIND MYSLEF NOT VISITING AS MUCH. I SHOULD BE ABLE TO GO IN A COMMENT LOG AND SAY WHATEVER I WANT TO SAY (AS LONG AS THERE IS NO PROFANITY). I WON’T NAME ANY NAMES, BUT THE MOST POPULAR GOSSIP SITE ON THE WEB BELIEVES IN FREEDOM OF SPEECH. YOU SEEM TO HAVE BEEN DOING OK WITH YOUR SITE, BUT YOU ARE BEGINNING TO BECOME OVERSHADOWED BY THE COMPETITION.

OF COURSE, THIS IS ONLY AN OPINION

Some interesting opinions. I like the “whateva” comment. Straight and to the point. You know how this persoon feelsabout the subject.

Photo Matt » Plugin Authors Get No Love

Didn’t know so many people find this ture or even a topic of interest. 72+ comments for this blog post. It gets technical and very interesting… if you even care about plug in authors LOL

I think that the main difference between plugins and themes in this context is that plugins are more unique because they each add a new functionality.
Themes all do the same thing (display the blog), are often similar to some other theme and are often customised by the end user anyway.
So it’s easier to put a theme into the world than a plugin, and the theme author has more control than their plugin equivalent – which is why ads appear in free themes.

Makes you think h’uh?

Web Worker Daily » Blog Archive Web Worker Emergency Survival Kit «

A very helpful blog post that looks into what a person needs as a tech worker in a emergency situation. The 35 comments so far only help someone reading the blog post to think about what they would need in a time of emergency.

I personally think a usb key, a tool kit, backup connection, and a flashlight. I also might carry aa RJ45 cord to plug into the internet using dial-up if I have to. Not everybody has DSL.

The article also has 580 diggs.

Don Imus fired from CBS

WOWOWOWOWOWOWOW!!!!

Breaking news as of 4:48pm EST. CBS fires Don Imus.

179 COMMENTS SO FAR and 386 diggs. And the comments go wild on this one, Its a must read if you hang out at Digg.

jeeteeare says : nappy-headed hoes rejoice (71 positive comment diggs)

scornforsega  says: No, no.. you can say whatever you want, you just have to have sh*tty music playing behind you. Call a woman a ho on a rap album and win a grammy. Do it on a radio show, and you get sh*tcanned. You NEED the sh*tty music in the background. It’s a necessity.

ht70  says: To blame in order of egregiousness: 1) Opportunists looking to get exposure (Sharpton/Jackson) 2) Spineless sponsors 3) Spineless CBS execs… 20) Stupid radio host trying to be funny

trer says: None of you seem to understand the concept of Freedom of Speech. The First Amendment only protects you from the government. The government cannot infringe on your right to speak. It has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO with an employer firing an employee. If the government had arrested Imus, THAT’S a violation of the first amendment. Advertisers have every right to pull their sponsorship from venues they feel uncomfortable with. And media stations have every right to fire an employee who is hurting the bottom line. That’s not a violation of freedom of speech, that’s just business. The backbone of a media corporation is, guess what, IMAGE. You must protect your image at all times. Imagine if one of your employees was doing something that was causing you to lose money. You’d fire that employee in a second.

Most comments support Don Imus (even though they say he still is a jerk for the most part) and put down Reverend (is he really a reverend?) Al Sharpton.

Sandra Rose: 2 Hip-Hop moguls share one secret

Sandra Rose: 2 Hip-Hop moguls share one secret

I guess I’m late with this one… I wouldn’t call it celebrity drama considering so many rappers tend to do-it with groupies and other ‘hot’ women that there would HAVE to be someone having a kid with them.

Heck, don’t some of these women go after them specifically to create this baby?

Sandra,
I see you can’t win for losing. You had commenters saying that Jay’s alleged love child was old news and what they wanted to see were, “pics of Diddy’s alleged baby’s mama, Sara” and now that you have done that you are still going to have people complaining. Geeesh!

There are 101 comments for this story. Since Sadra Rose only gets real fact o celebs, I guess its true down to the bone. The question is, does it matter? I guess people want to know that celebs have problems just like they do (except they have more money and can afford to make life easier on themselves by going on a vacation while you have to go back to work 9-5).

Wanted: A Little Reality for Britney – Celebritology

Wanted: A Little Reality for Britney – Celebritology

Well, this is a new place for me to visit and read what other people think about a specific subject. Never really been to the Washington Post for anything and BAM… this article comes my way from a related link on a Yahoo article about Britney Spears’ settlement with the K-Fed. Apparently on the heals of Britney Spears settling divorce with husband Federline, she will be doing a new reality show. The idea; find a new personal assistant to be on her team of which will also include helping her with her comeback.

Will Timbaland (music producer who has said he wanted to help her a few weeks ago get her back on track musically) help in this reality show? Heck, why another reality show? I say, its a good time to sit down, take a break, and write a personal letter (album) not for sales but to re-introduce yourself.

But before that… get on some remixes and put out a street album for the fans (and everyone else watching/listening).

Well… Enough about what I think… there are over 20 comments (some are spam comments…) on the post.

Posted by: renselaas:Liz, I’d play it as straight as possible and give her sound advice. She’s such a train wreck that she’ll ignore 3/4 of whatever you say, and that’s what will make it “good TV.”

As for that sound advice… I’d start with what all of our grandmothers told us about wearing good panties whenever we leave the house.

Posted by: Lisa: Liz, Play it straight this poor girl needs some help. Some issues to be raised in you audition letter:

-Accept that fact that your life has changed: You’re not 21 yr. old single pop star with lots of money and time, but 26 yr. pop star, single mom with two kids to support. California and Louisiana do have Child Protection Laws which they are very happy to enforce.

-The career life of pop star is limited: Your fans do grow up and move on, and a new generation of teenagers doesn’t want anything to do with you (i.e. Janet Jackson).

-Do you really want to end up like Anna Nicole Smith?

Posted by: byoolin: Isn’t it obvious? Bring back K-Fed.

There are some more interesting thoughts that may actually work. The comments are currently closed so your just gonna have to post your ideas somewhere else I guess. I can’t imagine where you could post comments about this subject…
I made a Digg link for it… Looks like there is one already: Britney Spears to star in new reality series from Celebritygasm (what a name LOL). So I’ll just digg that. (although its not about the blogger actually trying out for the show nor does it give the link the want ad on Criagslist).

While submitting (and seeing all the duplicates) I also found this tidbit: Kevin Federline To Make A Reality Show For MTV

Im gonna try something right now… and see what happens. More on this in part Two.

Ray J Sex Tape « HM

Ray J Sex Tape « HM

So this could be considered ‘old news’ since it was posted a few days ago online. What amazed me about it is that not many people commented on the subject. Usually you end up with over 100+ comments on something like this, but on this blog (which has some popularity) and others, it would seem all the subject could muster was about 30 comments. On Hip and Pop (KIM KARDASHIAN & RAY-J ARE HERE!!!!)  the blog post gets 32 (and a few days ago it had way less). I think the only reason that is so is because it still remains on the front pag, so people are going to the post.

Maybe people are too busy going to the video links? I found one place with 121 comments though… Lots of anonymous posts.

Most interesting comment:

how can you you make a sex tape without a condom. I don’t care how much money celebrities have when you get aids you can’t spend it.
Ray J. actually turned me off even more.

Will this mean that people will like Ray-J more now? Does anyone care? What does brandy think of this? (How come no one asked her? I would think that would be an obvious place to go). Are we just “sex taped out”?
